I restore antiques and I always have a shop full of items so I have to move things around all the time. I figured since the floor in the store is smooth they would do the job but I was wrong. I put them under the Duncan Phyfe sofa but they kept slipping out from under the sofa. I attributed this to the fact that the sofa has a non-standard shape of the legs. I then tried them under the straight legs of a chair with a headrest and again they slipped out when I tried to move it. The only way to make them work is to put the board on 2 casters and then put the furniture on the board. Unfortunately, they didn't work as I expected.
