I need two of these. I have to keep one in the kitchen and one with my gear. I have three more of these brands. It requires very little pressure and it's easy to get a smoother surface with lighter pressure. I really think I'll see if they make fine sand just because I want to. However, I would say that unless I'm in a hurry, a sling with a dab of green compound and then a clean sling after that gives a nice edge. I've found that if I'm cooking and the knife I want to use is dull to a certain extent, I'll run the knife into the garage and stab it on this EZE-LAP for about six strokes and then one Slash back can hit each side like I'm using dressing and then return to cooking before the pan is hot. So I really need one in the kitchen so I'm not tempted to walk around with knives.
