Nice set. Without doubt. I've had these knives for about 3 months now so I have enough experience with them to make a claim. They cut beautifully, from very large and tough vegetables to steak and cheese. I probably only use one chef's knife in the kitchen 80% of the time. However, you need to be aware of the following: 1. You are OVER 14 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the stand to the top of the knife handle (see Figure 1-2)2. If you have low cabinets like mine you can't remove the knives with one hand, I have to tip the stand with one hand and grab the knife with the other A look at the knives versus the height of the paper towels and my Wusthof set, a standard block of wood that allows you to extend the knives at an angle, with just one hand required. The stand is easy to clean as long as you don't put wet knives in it that will cloud the inside of the jar. Thank you for reading my review.
