My daughter usually wears a size 6 and I wear the size I bought. When I received this dress the sleeves were so long I had to take them in 6 inches! I was in a hurry, so I didn't cut the fabric, just folded it and quickly sewed it together. It also took a lot longer than I expected, but it looked good. Shrunk a few times after washing. Now it fits perfectly but I'm lucky I didn't make any permanent changes. My daughter loves it and gets lots of compliments from her friends.
