The In Win D-Frame has been a dream of mine since it first came out as one of their limited editions a few years ago. As far as I know, back then there were only 500 of each color (red/black and orange/blue) for $600. I could not justify the price and supplements being asked due to limited availability. Then one day I did a quick google search to see if any new in-win cases were coming out and the D-frame came up for sale at Revain which I thought was odd but found out they did Original republished. cases and in several new colors. After a few days of deliberation and a $30 price drop, I pulled the trigger. This is my fourth in-win build (901, 805, 303 and D-frame). In Win is by far my favorite case maker. This was my first fully water cooled build and I can honestly say I'm happy with the result. This time I opted for a soft hose instead of a hard one to keep the cost and maintenance down. I really wanted to make a glass tube but that would require a lot more fittings which, believe me, add up very quickly. It's often said that dating your heroes is unwise, but this case lives up to the hype. I like the simplicity and elegance of the design; it is a subtle but masterful craftsmanship. Like all In Win products, they are beautifully crafted works of art that sometimes prefer form to function, but they always work. For me, this is a case of a modders dream come true. I have so many ideas, but I don't think I'll have the courage to start cutting and fumbling on a $400 case without extensive practice on less expensive cases. This is definitely one of the many builds for me on this one. And of course there's the D-Frame 2 with its amazing custom power supply and high price tag, but there's something unique about this case. Out of the 13 builds I've done over the last few years, this build was the most frustrating but also the most enjoyable PC build I've ever had. And that's why it's special and worth every penny. I'll probably do some YouTube videos in the future about the build and my process like materials and parts I used etc. But for now a short list of the build components is below: AMD Threadripper 1920XGigabyte X399 Aorus Gaming 732GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB(2) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB Memory Kits(2)EVGA GTX 1080 FTWXSPC Raystorm NEO XSPC TX360 and TX240 CPU Water Block HeatsinkPrimocill UV ConnectorsPrimochill UV SofttubeCablemod Custom CablesSeasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 1000W4mmDoservoDC 2mount (8) In Win Polaris RGB 120 mm fan Swiftech MCP50X DDC pump (2 ) Nanoxia UV LED strips Acrylic LEDs with decontaminated acrylic coating (cut by New Wave Acrylics)
