or the Marineland filter. It keeps my aquarium much cleaner than previous cascade filters I've had. Because so much water is being moved, the pre-filter gets dirty quickly and the standard filter wears out in a few weeks. I was really hoping that this pack of 10 would allow me to switch more often without breaking the bank. Unfortunately the mesh on this filter is much denser/less porous than a brand name filter, the turtle slime clogs it up in just a day or two. 2 days in a row I had to remove and wash the filter because the engine was very noisy. Also, before installing the new Fette filter, I turned on the Micron water filter so the aquarium was clean. Maybe this filter is great only for fish, but slimy turtles aren't the answer. Too bad.
