• SUMMARY: I ordered this blind with a lot of hesitation as it is not a US product/company but I found the seller to be surprisingly responsive and the product was well made. I started out by ordering just one to minimize wasting money when things didn't go as expected, but I liked it so much that I bought a second one for a different window. • SELLER: I emailed the seller prior to ordering to inquire about the specs of the external mount and the seller asked for a photo of the window to provide the most accurate answer. The seller's response included a picture I sent with a label indicating external mounting options, which impressed me and made me feel more confident about ordering.• ORDERS: After each order, I received an email from the seller asking me to confirm the width I have ordered and I inform you that I have 24 hours to change the width if necessary. • DELIVERY: The blinds arrived in less than two weeks. At the time I bought, expedited shipping was only a few dollars more, so I paid to get them a little sooner. • PROBLEMS: The first box had a small piece of reel that broke off during shipping. I emailed the seller who responded immediately and shipped the parts in less than a week. INSTALLATION: Blackout and filter curtains come in separate rolls and there is a double bracket that allows them to be folded up and used after installation. along with. Installation can be difficult. For those who have previously installed blinds or curtains, this is fairly easy with a few tweaks. A double bracket is not the safest option, but it is workable if the blinds are adjusted smoothly. Those aren't springs, they're chain rollers, which I knew about when I ordered - not as pretty, but cheaper. The "chain" is a plastic bead that is not designed for heavy use. DETAILS: The slat material is of good quality and easy to clean. Since we opted for an external mount, the Darkening Shade really darkens the room completely, while the Filtered Shade provides plenty of natural light, allowing us to easily see out-of-focus shapes, including people. Overall this is a great economical alternative to expensive double spring blinds and a good option for windows that sometimes need light and sometimes need blackout. Remember that when the light is on in the room, everyone outside can see the room clearly through the filter blinds, which is expected but not always realized 😐.
