Decent with USB-A cable but awkward shape of USB-C connector

Works great with my Macbook, battery life is great but can't charge with my USB-C chargers. The cutout in the USB-C port area on the mouse is so poorly formed that none of my various branded USB-C-to-C cables fit, the casing is preventing the connector from mating properly. Only the included USB A-to-C cable will work. Doesn't work well with my Acer Chromebook, the mouse pointer "freezes" for about 10 seconds every few minutes of active use.
