I love that it slices 2 inch steaks like butter and makes slicing raw carrots or other veggies easier than a Walmart chef's knife! The hook on the front of the knife is a great rest for your index finger to have good knife control when pressure is needed for those stubborn raw veggies! I can only imagine that a round notch on the blade towards the hilt would be great when it comes to butchering! I love the details on the sheath and the details on the knife body. It's well balanced with a decent weight for its size as well as a full shaft so it can withstand some abuse. Be sure to be part of the cooking from the start! Definitely recommend for an above average cook or even just a basic home cook!
