We were given a dog from a family who were relocating from out of state and couldn't take a mix of almost three labs and a husky with them. Husband just made it without tools. First you need to remove the plastic pads on the pins. The collar comes with extra plugs should you need them in the future. It's made of stainless steel so it won't rust. We are a happy family!
