Review on GREX AOS368 2 Inch 105 Degree Orbital by Jeff Kersey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes, it's worth it

maybe I have a bad one but this block will stop at the slightest bump. I can stop him with my fingertip! Not at all what I expected as I have a supercharger that runs 5.9cfm at 90psi. I try to use it with 220 grit and above as a finish sander. My other air grinders work way better than this one and it's definitely a bummer! Contacted Manu, will update after working with Grex. EDIT: The original title was "really like it", with 3 stars. The central drive shaft (which spins above the pad when fired) spins, and even if the pad stops spinning, the random orbit is still going because the main shaft is spinning. I'm glad I contacted Grex because what I expected wasn't what I experienced; I assumed it wasn't working because of this wait time. I told the representative that this information is not in the manual. It would be very helpful if this were the case and I suggested editing it in the future. Today I tested the device with new knowledge and I am very satisfied with this tool. First, it's a lot lighter than the 1/2" drill press I used. That and the 105 degree angle means less strain on the body, which is huge when you're playing all day. Excellent, and the addition an aftermarket mid-weight padding made it even better. The fact that it runs at 2.2 CFM means I can run it longer on my rig.Fortunately, the ergonomics make this a lot less of a nuisance than with power tools.

Pros
  • Santoprene Grip for more comfort in different applications
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
