Pros: It was exactly what I needed and it wasn't expensive. I couldn't do any for that price. It seems to work well and is made of good material. Other oars are much more expensive than this one, costing almost as much as the boat. I love it and would recommend it to anyone planning to make it at home. It's not plug and play. You'll need to design the rest of the mount and steering system if you don't already have one. I am installing it on a pioneer pelican that is not designed for a rudder. As you can see in the picture, it actually attaches to the boat without any modifications. I will add another detachable mount and steering system. The product is shipped from China. It arrived in a bag just over a month after I ordered it (10 days before expected delivery). The box would have been nice as it sticks out of the bag in a couple of places. However, it is a durable plastic that has stood up to the ride.
