Large travel tripod

This is a great tripod. It took several others before I found this one. The weight is perfect for my travel pack. I mean, the ideal 2.3 pounds is superior to the 3.12 pounds I wanted to carry around. It has a single locking ball head which is a bit tricky but they added planes on 2 axes which makes it really easy. Anyone who has ever fiddled with a ball head with a clasp knows what I'm talking about. The legs flex a bit but I love this tripod and have added a hook under the center column to hang the weight if I need to stabilize it more. It has a 4.6 pound capacity, which I think is right. Just a word of caution on this note: the camera body and telephoto lens may weigh "X" on the postal scale, but the leverage of this telephoto lens adds to the weight. This might not be the best choice for you if that's the case. but works great with my everyday 18-200mm lens. Of course your mileage may vary, my goal is that you don't have a collection like mine.
