This tablecloth came out of the box incredibly crumpled. Unlike shower curtains, which straighten out their creases after many days in a warm, humid environment, the creases had to be "cured out" in order for the tablecloth to look presentable. There were no instructions on the packaging how to do this (a big oversight as the tablecloth is unusable without attention to creases). First, I grabbed a warm, damp cloth to see if the mild moist heat worked. Nothing has happened. Then I took the iron and set it to the lowest setting. I turned the tablecloth inside out to iron the soft side. I interposed a towel made from a flour sack and quickly ran the iron across the back of the entire tablecloth, which took a long time. The photo shows before and after (first two are before, third is after). Even though I was able to iron out most of the creases, this tablecloth still gets a star because it doesn't fit snugly. There are also wrinkles due to the thinness of the plastic. Even two people pulling it taut on either side of the table didn't eliminate those creases. Had the manufacturer used thicker plastic, it would likely lay flatter. Don't waste your time and money on this.
