I ordered this to make it easier to add six drives to my Linux server for network file storage. It looks well put together: no aftermarket fixes, clean rails and all cables included. It is based on an ASMedia SATA controller and a multiplexer chipset covered by a heatsink and on Linux and some UNIX you need driver packages or even need to recompile the kernel. All ports are at the end of the map. While it's not the newest or fastest chipset, it does what it's supposed to do and at a reasonable price. I rate it four stars. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary.
