These surgical masks are intended for healthcare professionals in my opinion. Although I'm not one of them, I've worn them occasionally during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Like many others, I have become an expert in protective masks in recent years. Now we all know which masks are more comfortable to wear, which ones can be the most effective, and which ones are downright cheap (most of those light blue masks that everyone wears). These protective surgical masks are rated A+ for effectively filtering germs, smog, pollen and other irritating or unhealthy odors. They don't get such high marks for comfort, though. Although these masks and the cords attached to them are extremely strong, I find them uncomfortably tight on my face. Also, they're always up to my eyes, so I always have to pull them down. The chin strap feels comfortable but unfortunately doesn't hold the mask in place. The thick material of these masks makes them more suffocating to wear than other masks, but if you're into dangerous germs that can spread, these masks might be for you. Also, as the pandemic progresses, I'm paying more attention to how the masks look on me. These masks stick out like a beak, which makes them look a bit silly compared to flatter masks.
