I custom made a corner TV center out of reclaimed wood and ship hull. Being able to mount our 55 inch TV in the corner was critical to the success of this project. The wall mount was exactly what I expected. It seems very strong and durable. A 55 inch TV should be the maximum size for this project. standing, and I agree. We left some room on the side to allow the TV to move sideways (about 5-6 inches on each side). I work from home a lot so setup and installation didn't bother me. However, I think most hobbyists can easily install it. You definitely want two people to attach the TV to the mount.
