Maltese (4 lbs) LOVES it in the winter! I wish the xs was a little longer but it's probably just my dog. She's always cold and gets all excited when she sees us take this off, all sweaters really except this one. You can tell that it keeps her warm as she will still play and run, without her she remains a little ball. I wouldn't recommend it for dogs with longer coats just because it's likely to get tangled, we keep it short. We've moved from south to north, and climate change is taking a big toll on little dogs. They mostly wear them on really cold days. My large Maltese (12lbs) hates this! He hates almost all sweaters but especially this one because it goes over his hind legs too. We still wear it on very cold days. My husband thinks she's totally ridiculous, but I think she's cute.
