My stepdaughter had an official wedding. I had to get out my jeans and put on something trendy that helped. Everyone commented on how beautiful it looked. I am simple people. The Chicago wedding wasn't easy at all, but this dress held up perfectly for the $500+ others paid for their dresses. I wanted to cover my arms well as I have old lady valves and these covered them. I'm 5'10" and the 1" heel was a great length, almost too long actually. Shorties should be warned if this length suits me you will need to alter it. I'm 142, wear size 0-2 jeans and medium to large shirt (38D). I bought a very large one and it was a perfect fit in the waist and snug in the bust but didn't cause any discomfort as the material stretched. The lining was a bit thin for January in Chicago (snow, below freezing) and being from the south I didn't have much covering, just a black leopard print thigh length cape (the bride had a fur cape just for the wedding), the fur is big no-no- for me but to each his own) The tag says it can be washed but I'm thinking of taking it to a dry cleaner where it can be steamed without wrinkles. I did exactly that before wearing it, steamed it not washed. A glass of wine, just one to toast and I managed to spill wine on it.
