I bought this for my 6 month old and it's amazing to see him putting the pieces of the puzzle together and trying to put them on the pins provided. I often have to help him, but I think he will get it soon. He is amazed to see how this toy moves like a machine when you pull the string. He doesn't yet know how to insert the blocks into the holes provided, but he watches curiously as I insert them and the block "disappears". A great toy to encourage your child's early learning and teach them about permanence of objects! Essential toy!
