Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great looking sharpener

There seems to be one manufacturer that makes sharpeners of this design under several brand names and all have good reviews. One reviewer recommended simply going for the cheapest option for this design. Well it wasn't the cheapest. But the price difference is so minimal that I chose Office Goods for its looks lol. And he looks really great. The brushed metal and white body is very clean and minimalist unlike others. Looks great on my table! But it's not just a pretty face. It works very well. I've been inundated with dull pencils since my last sharpener died from dead batteries consuming its contacts. I immediately collected about 20 blunt pencils and lit this sharpener. It took about 2-3 seconds to get a perfect point on very blunt pencils with no effort and very quietly. Much quieter than the pricier Panasonic wireless it replaced. I haven't tried it on new pens because I don't have any. And I can't comment on durability/longevity as I just got it. A comment about hitchhiking that this one doesn't have. I had one before and I don't like it. It can be useful for kids to avoid over sharpening and wasting pencils. But that's not a sales function for me, and I actually avoid it. This one doesn't have it, and it doesn't need it. The change in audible and tactile feedback from pencil to fingers after sharpening is very noticeable. Knowing when to stop with this stationery sharpener is very natural and very intuitive. 5 solid stars for the time being, with limitations on durability. Will be updated if this sharpener fails prematurely.

Pros
  • Children and adults can safely use the electric pencil sharpener thanks to the unique safety latch that stops it when the shaving head is removed.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
