This is my first nail lamp so I can only compare it to salon lamps. It cured my gel polishes without incident. I used the recommended polishing time setting and had no problems. I'll say this thing is getting hot! I kinda laughed at the instruction where the 90 second setting says "No Payment Mode". I didn't realize this until I started baking my hands. It didn't burn, it just got very hot after a while, I don't remember it being that warm in the cabin. However, I am sure that while this one is affordable, they are very expensive. He's doing his job and that's all that counts. I would say it has a distinctive "plastic" smell when it gets warm. It's not serious, but hopefully it will resolve over time.
