Review on FalconEyes RX-18TD Waterproof 100W Bi-Color 📸 Dimmable Flexible Studio Light for Photography (RX-18TD) by Flip Shaw

The design is great apart from some quality control issues. After my first use, the battery plate started to glitter and periodically turned on and off. The idea of letting the controller/battery plate hang freely on the light stand can cause damage from rocking in the stand. I originally gave it two stars due to a blown battery plate, but Falcon Eyes ended up sending me a brand new ballast. It seems to work. I had a similar problem with a 24TD ballast. They sent me a new battery plate, I replaced it and everything seems fine. I would give it five stars but after opening up the ballast to replace the battery plate it became fairly obvious that the electronics are vulnerable to water and moisture. Although the lantern may be weatherproof, I would never use ballast, even in the slightest drizzle.
