While I'm a huge fan of American made merchandise, I would never recommend these. This is the thinnest, thinnest "belt" I've ever seen. In fact, I received two that were almost identical as a free item included with another product. Sure, it was the cargo straps, but the only difference was the "Made in USA" label, which is probably worth more than the strap and buckle itself. My only guess is that Thomas Bates is trying to get out of the recently resurgent one Capitalizing on the "Buy American" trend. Free advice from the manufacturer; You cannot compete with Asia at the lowest prices, but you can produce quality products at a higher price, and some of us would like to buy your products.
