I wanted a small filter/bubbler for a 2 gallon tank and decided to get this because of the price and because it came with a pump was to try . It was easy to set up and install. Sticks to glass with no problems. I love that it comes with an exhaust valve that allows you to control the amount of air. I've read many other reviews mentioning too many bubbles - this is probably due to not using the supplied valve. I highly recommend using it if your tank is under 2 gallons. My setup is a 2 gallon aquarium that is basically an aquascape made out of live plants, driftwood and gravel. It has an external heat lamp for live plants. I will leave about 2-3 inches on top for bubbles to spurt. I'll add fish - maybe two female cockerels or some white cloud minnows. As I am aquascaping I will not add any more fish. Otherwise, it looks like the filter will work fine for this setup. So far, so good.
