After a recent attempted break-in, I decided to buy security cameras for my mother's house. I was looking at the huge range of Revain cameras and it was a bit overwhelming. After days of looking at cloud cameras, wifi security cameras, security DVR systems with or without hard drives installed, NVR systems, 4ch, 8ch, picture quality, resolutions, LCD screen systems, reviews, etc , I chose this system and am so glad I did. Delivered quickly, very well packaged, all in one box. It's truly plug and play and everything you need is in the box. I connected the ethernet cable to the router, plugged in the power adapter and mouse, and turned on 4 cameras. After a few minutes, the cameras on the screen were working properly. The picture quality is amazing, the night vision is incredible, very easy to install, the WiFi cameras have a long range, the farthest camera is easily 30ft from the NVR, the 10 inch LCD screen displays a clear image and the nvr has an hdmi port for extra screen. . There are a few things to note: The dash cam power adapter is a bit short, only 3 feet. The camera power supply is only 10ft long, I had to buy a couple of 15ft extensions. I also found the software a bit difficult. Setting up motion detection, email notifications, Android apps and cloud services took longer than installing cameras. The instructions are difficult to understand and a bit vague. The cloud setup was the biggest challenge as it is required to use the app. In order for the app to work, I first had to lower the security settings in Google Play and then enable and register dynamic DNS in the router settings.
