That's good. They look good, look high quality and are sold at a reasonable price. They literally didn't fit me. I've never used banana plugs and have always had to split, twist and insert a length of speaker wire to connect the speakers. I finally decided to clean up my installation by updating some components of my stereo/video system. Many reviews say they are more than big enough for most wires. Even a company representative provided dimensions showing how large the speaker wire could be handled. Mine didn't even come close. I mention this for the few who might be in my place. I bought the monster cable a long time ago. That's when the monster speaker wire was basically the same size, the monster. It appears to be larger than 2 gauge. I found I would have to use electrical tips for a proper install. Something like the cable ends of a car battery. Yes indeed. But in my opinion. The store rep provided internal measurements which actually sounded like he could handle larger sizes, although not as big as mine. What hasn't been mentioned and may have been left out is that your wiring goes into a tube with 2 set screws which then screw in to keep the wire neat and tight. But to insert the wire you must fully tighten the setscrews and then if your wire takes up all the space in the tube you will not be able to fully tighten the setscrew. And the set screws need to be screwed in flush with the outside as the cap that screws onto the top of the tube will not engage and loosen the set screws unless they are fully seated. This means that you can specify dimensions on the tube. The speaker wire goes in, but maybe half to 2/3 of that tube can be used as the set screws need to go all the way in. Your 16 gauge, 14 gauge will do, even a 12 gauge, but not too much due to set screw play.
