June 9 update - it turned out that there is a solution to the sleep problem. Completely shut down the system and unplug the power cord (or turn off the power supply) to eliminate the sleep problem and let the strip work properly. I'm increasing my rating to 3 stars because I have other questions. Pros: The LED strip is bright and I like the diffused light. Cons: Let's start with the minor ones: 1. Impossible to keep the sticky black surface clean. A few days after installation, the product looks like it has been used for several months.2. The included 3M double-sided tapes are BAD. They degraded to the point that when the protective film was removed, the entire adhesive layer ripped off, rendering them unusable. The included magnetic holders were also flimsy and nearly unusable. Worst of all, simply plugging a 3-pin extension cable (without connecting an LED strip) to my ASROCK Extreme4 motherboard's ARGB header caused the system to freeze when I put it to sleep. The only thing that helps here is disconnecting and switching on the power supply again. So that's $25 for nothing.
