I have two dogs, one of them has hearing problems, she is too old. This device doesn't work on her, but it works perfectly on our new little Chihuahua. When my chihuahua barks too much I use him in training mode and when he is too aggressive (especially when we have guests over at home) I use chase mode. She also used to have bad behaviors like eating trash or toilet paper. I started using chase mode and told her "STOP!" and berated her.
