For context, I have yet to connect power to the amp or subwoofers as I am still waiting for the box to be assembled. But since I just installed it and used it to add a secondary battery, my experience so far has been good. The cable is not too thick 1/0 but I have no problem with it because if it was I wouldn't be able to plug it into the amp. The rubber isolator is thick but surprisingly flexible and cuts well. The wire itself (which is real oxygen-free copper, thank goodness) was a bit of a pain to cut through, but I just didn't have the right tool to cut it, so I had to saw through the wire with a serrated blade. Still cutting! As you can see from the photos I got everything hooked up and ready to go and it really wasn't that hard. Pretty pleased to use it for its intended purpose
