Review on KYB 555057 Gas A Just Gas Shock by Jason Cho

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than Bilstein 4600

The 2005-2011 Pathfinder has weak factory shock settings resulting in a bouncy ride and frequent dips. The Bilstein dampers were also too soft on the off-road model. These Gas-A-Justs ensure a safe ride. Not too much to lose all comfort, but when towing when all the seats are full, or hauling cargo, you'll feel more controllable and avoid bouncing off the fenders. Driving harder is better than making contact with the bumpers, my spine is proof of that. Offroad behave well. None of the performance has flagged over rough terrain and is yet to explode. Most likely due to the single-tube and separate nitrogen chamber and floating piston. If you need replacements and want to fix your trip, take them with you. They also work on a 2 inch lift. If you want something softer but stronger than the original manufacturer, get the KYB Excel G.
