I have two cats.1. Mister Awesome weighs at least 15 pounds and I KNEW he wouldn't be thrilled with this new tray situation. I was wrong - it took him a day to get used to it and now he loves it and so do I since I don't have to wipe his kicked trash all over my floor. 2. Oliver is a seven pound Siberian and I just knew he would be into that because he loves to jump, dig and have his own space. I couldn't be more wrong. He'll wait for me to open the door before entering the drawer, and when he does, he'll squeeze into the drawer on the bottom shelf, about four inches of the gap between the top of the tray and the top of the shelf uses. That's very sad to see. Once inside I close the door and he walks out the right way without fear. I really don't understand this cat. week later. Hope for 100% satisfaction soon. Anyway, I love this box. I live in a very small space (not even 300 square meters). I change my bed every day and never feel anything. The box serves as a shelf at the entrance, the keys and my wallet are on it, and no one suspects that this is a tray until I tell them. It's pretty cool. Important update! It's only been a day since the above review was written and I'm happy to report that Oliver is now using the box properly! The trick was to spend a few hours at home and keep the door closed to keep an eye on him. The first time he tried to open it himself, but when that didn't work, he jumped up. After he finished his job and jumped out, there were protest cheers, but about an hour later he re-entered and stayed. for some time. He's a cat who values his privacy very much and now he's found him in a litter box! He's been inside maybe four times since yesterday, and each time he's hanging out there longer, kicking shit (literally and figuratively I think) and having a good time. I was already happy with this purchase - I live in an area of 280 square feet so everything should do double duty and this drawer does triple duty by hiding and hiding dirt! THEN! SMELL! and it's a perfect entry-level table for my keys and wallet. I should also note that there are small cat's paw shaped vents around the box. I found these pads at Wal-Mart that promise to absorb and neutralize urine odor so I cut them open and taped every penny shut and I don't know if that helps but it certainly doesn't hurt.
