Review on 🚴 XOSS G+ Bike Computer GPS: Wireless Cycling Computers with Speedometer, Bluetooth 5.0 & ANT+, IPX7 Waterproof by Rud Starks

I wanted to buy a bike computer/GPS instead of a phone as it uses a lot of power, especially on long rides. I originally bought a Garmin watch but returned it because I didn't really need all the extra features. I looked online, did a little research and came across the Xoss brand. I watched the video on YouTube and there wasn't much information but the reviews here convinced me to buy it and there was a lightning fast $25 deal so I said why not. I had the first xoss for about 3 days and it wouldn't connect to the GPS for minutes (5+) and after connecting it just showed a bar and kept going on and off. Got a replacement and so far it's done a pretty good job. It's pretty accurate (+-3%) in terms of distance when I map everything. Pros: - Computer records distance, speed, cadence well (with sensors) - $25 - This is a pretty good entry-level GPS if that's all the info you need. Battery life is around 20-25 hours with GPS enabled. Easy connection. The solution I have for this is to turn it on and leave it by the window before driving. As soon as I start driving there is usually an instant connection but no longer than 5-10 seconds after leaving it on at the connection window for a minute. - Passing under bridges, tunnels or other covers may interfere with the GPS signal. If it's a long tunnel, most devices will lose connection, but if it's a tunnel that's maybe 50 feet long, even if you move quickly through it, you'll start to lose connection. It's 50/50 with woods, but as a street racer I don't usually have a problem with this unit. The only way to download data is using the xoss app. I'm not a big fan of the app as it's buggy and takes a while to sync (<3 minutes most of the time). In general / TLDR: If you want cheap bike GPS this will do the job, if you want maps / very reliable maybe go to a more reputable brand (Garmin, Wahoo etc). For the $25 price I paid I have no regrets and it's 70-80% less than a well known brand with similar functionality. I guess for $50 it's still not a bad deal but if you can snag a deal I would recommend it.
