I don't often write reviews but since I found reviews of 4 packs of Envirocare filters (actually two packs of 2) it is it's a bit confusing confusing i decided to write this to clear things up a bit. The manufacturer's packaging states that it is suitable for the Dirt Devil SD20005RED. This Dirt Devil uses a 1-DEA900-B00 adapter ring. However, the retaining ring on these aftermarket Envirocare filters is too small in diameter to fit properly on the adapter. Consequently, filters are difficult to install. If all three tabs on the filter can be tucked under the clips on the Dirt Devil adapter ring, the retaining ring on the filter will run into the edge of the adapter ring, causing the filter retaining ring to no longer sit properly. perfectly and thus allows unfiltered air to flow past the filter element. I believe this fit issue explains the reviews stating that 1) all three tabs don't go in and 2) dust is coming straight out of the vacuum. Can't comment on the filter element as I haven't even tried it yet as it doesn't fit well. i give them back This situation was common in the aftermarket over 30 years ago, but is really unacceptable with today's measurement and production technologies - hence the 1 star rating.
