Review on 🏊 Mirrored Vanquisher 2.0 Swim Goggles by Speedo - Unisex-Adult by Jaime Miranda

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent until they are

As a lifelong swimmer and serious competitor, I have used a variety of performance-oriented goggles over the years. These are my favorites of all time. It's as comfortable as any goggle, the silicone seals and straps are durable and effective, and its low-profile/streamlined shape allows you to stay in it during dives and fast turns. Plus, they come in a variety of shades and finishes, so you can pick a pair that works indoors, outdoors, or both. I have a third pair. My only complaint is that the inner coating peels off quickly, which actually ruins the goggles. Damp eyes, sweat, accidental leaks and temperature differences between the air inside the goggles and the water outside. In the end you get fog in every pair of glasses. You are no exception. Rather, the film on the inside of the glasses actually peels off no matter how carefully I care for them. I follow the instructions: never touch the inside with my hands and rinse with cold tap water after each use. I tried to keep them in the original blister pack as well as a microfiber sunglass case. They burst off again and again - and that at the very beginning of their lives. I don't want to accumulate plastic waste, so I use my glasses for years after they start peeling until the vision loss becomes a functional problem. not just trouble. This is a testament to how much I otherwise love the fit/performance. I personally would rather have an old plastic lens that fogs up than one with a garbage inner coating that peels off unevenly and then fogs up anyway. does its job reliably for years without having to touch it again. If you've ever spent a whole day trying to thread your Swedish goggles correctly, you'll love this simple yet durable construction from Speedo. However, when you need to resize to get the right initial fit, it takes a surprising amount of muscle and dexterity to take the stock nosepiece off. I can't believe I didn't break my glasses in the process, but so far I've successfully replaced the nosepiece with a different size. After all, I just bought myself a pair of silver mirrored glasses. , and find that they are dark – very dark. Little did I know that the lenses are tinted dark gray in addition to the mirror finish. They're probably great for swimming outdoors, but not for indoor use, IMO. I will definitely go back to clear non-mirror lenses when they wear out. This doesn't affect my star rating, it's just for your information because I didn't get it on the product page. For Speedo: Please repair or remove the horrible coating on these goggles. Otherwise don't change anything.
