We really like these fins! It really makes my two daughters and my niece look like real mermaids. I was surprised how easy it was for her to swim in it. They are 9, 11 and 12 years old and not professional swimmers or anything. You could swim right away! Get this monofin and matching FIn Fun tails. We bought them separately, but the tail without the fin is incomplete, so be sure to take both. It may seem expensive, but they are really high quality. Excellent seam. The monofin itself has very nice cuts for the legs that don't rub at all. I've seen other monofins that are attached with straps and look like bubbles waiting in the wings. Just not these! The only downside to this monofin is that the leg openings are very narrow which helps them stay in place. It also makes them hard to get. Once put on, it is very comfortable and does not feel constricted. It's just that it's actually a little difficult. Also, make sure you are right by the water when you get dressed. My daughters watched a few YouTube videos and guides before getting these and Fin Fun has a really good safety brochure. with fin/tail. If you are a parent, I recommend watching safety videos with your child. They are amazing. If your kid loves mermaids and wants to swim like a mermaid, buy this! Serious.
