I have read many reviews from people saying this fan does not make a breeze. Then I read reviews from people who said other people just weren't smart enough to flip the switch to let the wind go. I even read an engineer's review that said this fan can't have a good draw. I really wish the engineer was right because it's a beautiful fan. My experience is that no matter which direction the switch is flipped, there is no wind outside. After reading the article on ceiling fans, I see that the very wide shape of the blades is most likely to blame, especially with the pointed tip of the blade (this is the area that should capture and move most of your air). I will change blades. The rest of the fan has good speed, a quiet motor, and moderate vibration that will hopefully go away once the blades are replaced with something more traditional. It should be noted that the dome is not closed, so we expect it to fill up with bugs fairly quickly.
