Our rear garage door is very heavy and also has a 2.5 inch clearance from floor to door when open. We used all sorts of things to keep the door open. When it arrived my husband was excited to use it. Holds our heavy door with no problem. We use it on a cement floor and it stays where we put it. It arrived with a rubber factory smell that dissipated after a few days. (and it wasn't too bad) He's strong and a good weight. We are very happy with this product!
