After doing some research, this seems to be very common. I've used several of these models and it happens to everyone. The nylon ratchet belt buckle will eventually fall apart and your pants will fall off. This guy is sturdy, I haven't felt any sudden chills while wearing this belt, just make sure you get a size close to what you need so you can order accordingly as there won't be much room to adjust later.
