No manufacturer of these things will tell you current draw, equivalent input noise, maximum input or output level, distortion, etc. etc. Specs are very tight. PREVIEW: I did some distortion measurements using a high quality German 24-bit interface and my own measurement system under development. I don't have an AP measurement system, so I don't promise absolute performance based on a single sample. So far this device appears to have distortion ranging from low at low frequencies to around 1% at -30dBV (peak < e.g. 0.030Vp output). From here it increases to about 4% at -17 dBV (peak). and climbing. Didn't appreciate it to the breaking point. (for consideration). The current consumption is approx. 3 mA at 48 V through (2) 5 kΞ© with no signal. For a vocal mic I would use it without hesitation. When used with a dynamic mic it does what it's supposed to do for the voice. I wouldn't compare it to a $3,000 high-end mic pre, but $90 per channel is fine. Additional tests will be carried out.
