This stuff works great! I am very happy with how easy it was to apply and so far it is holding up the corners/sides of my rugs where I have installed it superbly. You can place it directly on the floor (and it's still easy to remove) or between carpet and a non-slip pad. MY ONLY WARNING: I will be careful applying it to expensive carpets because I had to reapply it (it was crooked and bothered me) and when I removed it from the underside of the carpet it started showing the plush through the hard plastic to tear. net below. I don't care because I have cheap mats, but if you have really good ones I'd be wary of direct application. Overall I'm very happy with it and it was the cheapest type of this band I could find!
