I had no idea ceiling fans like this existed. I've seen ones engraved with either a fan or a light, but the two wands looked exactly the same, which still made it possible to mix them up. These bumps are obvious. One is in the shape of a fan blade and the other is in the shape of a lightbulb. No more blinding yourself with light when you just want to increase the speed of your ceiling fan. The wands are actually more durable than I thought they will be metal with frosted glass elements. My only issue was that they were too long for my ceiling fan. I kept banging my head on her. But they can be shortened. I used wire cutters to cut the chains then I removed the connectors on the ends to attach the new short chains to my existing chain on my fan. My only wish, and it's small, is that the tie rods be gold to match what's already there, but that's secondary. I like her look no matter what.
