36" cable required. Bought a few years ago, hardly used. Used today to tie 2 x 8 x 16 lumber PT to my posts and an 18 foot piece of 1 x 12 PVC. I was on the track and saw the PVC fly onto the track behind me! Quickly stopped in the hard shoulder and all 3 2x8s slid off the front of the truck! It could be incredibly dangerous. Gathered everything from the Autobahn and saw that both hooks were deformed and straightened at the ends! Have used other bungees for over 15 years and this has never happened to me. This is the first time I use them and it happens. Will never use them again. I was lucky, as was everyone behind or beside me on the freeway.
