Good for DIY hardwood construction

This tool is worth buying if you stack multiple 3/8 inch particle boards around the house. This is not the tool you should buy if you intend to use it for a living. It works well for the intended application. The cleat adjustment knobs are constantly loosening, making it difficult to set up and forget. The trigger is pressure sensitive too, like if you didn't pull it all the way it would fire but not set the bail, which is REALLY annoying with thin stock. The difference between this tool and the pro-level version is noticeable, but if you Looking at it it probably is, that has to be done with the price and it would be fine if you couldn't move as fast as a professional gun would allow as long as you pay attention to the cleat setting and pull the trigger fully and not just pull, it's very well installed brackets. It's enough that his supposed Pu gets up. If you use it every day, there are better options. I've run 10,000 staples, there have been no jams, and it shows no signs of performance or appearance issues. If the mandrel stayed in place it would be a 4.5 and if the trigger only allowed a full shot you would have a 5 star tool. All in all, it's a very good tool with a few issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
