Makes the remote more comfortable to grip and a bit more difficult to use but also makes the buttons a bit of a puzzle

I bought this case to hold my tiny Apple TV remote a bit more comfortably and more importantly that it's a bit harder to lose because the rubberized cover means it can't slide between sofa cushions as easily as it does without a cover. The case has cutouts for the touchpad, charging port, microphone, and infrared emitter, all of which fit together perfectly. It also has very thick rubber around the corners to cushion the remote if it lands in a corner, although I've never had any issues with the remote breaking like a cellphone. Installing the cover is very easy. Just pass it through the touchpad cutout and then peel the top 2 corners from the edges. The bulges on the bottom help hold the remote better and also lift it off where you sit, just enough to make it easier to grab. The downside of this case is that the 6 buttons (Menu, TV, Microphone, Play/Pause and Volume Up/Down) are basically hidden. In a normal uninstall, the features are highlighted in white and the menu button is even outlined to make it easy to find. Once you put this cap on all of these markings are hidden and the only features on the cap are molded from the same black rubber as the rest of the cap. Unless you're looking at the remote in a very brightly lit room, it's not easy to tell which button is which. For the buttons on the right side of the remote (TV on top, then the volume rocker on the bottom) it wasn't a big deal for me, but for the buttons on the left (menu, microphone) it's a bit confusing. and play/pause). If you've already memorized all the buttons, that's no problem, but I think the case could be greatly improved by adding white to the button functions to match the look of the original remote. It's also worth noting that since the touchpad has closed edges (it touches the edges versus normal when you can slide from edge to edge), you can't move your finger across the touchpad as easily.
