Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Dorman 61104 Radiator Drain - Convenient HELP for Draining Radiators by Chad Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent venting solution for some types of 5.7 gallon and similar plastic containers

Ideal alternative to yellow plastic snap on vent caps for containers that could be used on top of gas cylinders or where the vent needs to be The cap was lost or less securely attached to 7 gallon and similar water containers. Strong and secure clasp, and the lid won't be lost. On a fresh install, start by drilling a small pilot hole in the thickest part of the can (where there was no vent) and use a reamer and small shop vacuum to collect the shavings. Reamed only to show where the threads hook onto the faucet. In my opinion, this faucet is the best to use. The smallest thread on the end measures 0.52" and 0.54" under the hex nut with a digital caliper. In my opinion there might not be enough material to convert an old air vent cap directly into a brass faucet in the same hole. However, with care it can be made to work with a suitable permanent sealer. This is done at your own risk.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
