I replaced an 8 year old computer with a U57 mini pc that worked great. I am by no means familiar with mini PCs. I use it to stream shows, watch DVDs, and surf the web when connected to my living room TV. It's really amazing how far technology has come to make such small devices work so well. Well, fast forward: my job has given me more projects to complete using Microsoft Office programs, especially endless spreadsheets. Now I have a laptop with an 11 inch screen and it's getting harder and harder to read. Then my husband said it was time to buy a new laptop with a bigger screen. But I knew even a 17 inch laptop screen wouldn't help me. After much discussion and consultation with my IT friend, I decided to buy another mini pc but with more power and memory to meet my work needs. I just went for it because I already knew Beelink from a previous purchase. I also bought a new 56 inch TV and started tweaking the GT-R. It was an easy and quick installation. I was able to connect to the internet with no problems. I have to say "WOW!" What a big difference to my laptop. It's much faster even with Microsoft Office Professional and Adobe loaded there. I can easily switch between different programs and applications and listen to my entire huge music collection at the same time without lag. I've never had a computer with such capabilities and power. On a recent trip I asked if he could just plug the GT-R into our monitor in our trailer. He could install it and hide the chords. It's way better than watching our shows on a TV screen instead of a laptop without it breaking night after night. The area is so clean and tidy unlike my laptop. And being able to work on the big screen on the go has been a real boon too, again my eyes can't thank me enough. I think for international travel we think the Beelink would also be useful as it can be kept in as small a space as a wallet and plugged into a hotel TV to stream shows. The micro SD and USB slots allow us to view photos during the day and videos every night. Overall: Pros: - Extremely compact with a low carbon footprint and sleek looks - Very fast and powerful, no lag between different screens - Has all the required input and output ports - Stays cool when running - WindowsCon preinstalled: I had to make some changes in a PC so that it works properly on the TV screen and not the monitor. It makes a little noise when I have multiple tabs open at the same time. . But not bad.
