Review on πŸ„ Upgrade Your Watersports Experience with the O'Neill Men's Reactor II 3/2mm Back Zip Full Wetsuit by Deandre Vogt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm looking forward to surfing comfortably and warmly in this suit this fall and winter.

Just a note on my competence and experience. I have been surfing Socal longboards for 55 years and have tried dozens of wetsuits from most major brands. I'm easy to please, but hard to pick up. Received my O'Neill 3/2 Reactor 2 today and found the materials very good and well put together. I was a bit reluctant to order an O'Neill based on past experience years ago when O'Neills were apparently made for tall, slender people (which I'm not), but I couldn't turn down the price ( 1/3 the cost of my current suit) an opportunity to give O'Neal another shot at my future business. I weigh 5-10/210 pounds with a beer keg, 45 chest and 36 waist, a bit like a 50's wrestler. . I ordered an XL suit based on the size chart and previous experience with XLS was too restrictive. (OK Wetsox helped a bit, and I highly recommend them.) It fit properly without tangling, and the neck, wrists, and ankles feel very waterproof. There was no baggy in the arms and legs. It looks like it will work fine. The bad news is that (1) the neckline was pretty tight on my 18 inch neck and can get uncomfortable over time; and (2) I couldn't unzip the zipper unaided. my wife laughing (I always thought wetsuits should have a pull tab at the base of the back to hold onto when opening. I often carry one when repairing suits in the field). Here I will put the suit through its paces with a few surf sessions next month. I will update this review if any discrepancies are found and how it works.
