I wish I knew it doesn't look like a flaming acorn in real life. Instead, it looks like a very white LED *right next to* a translucent acorn. To make it look like product photos you would have to spend too much time arranging them to obscure the light more, possibly with glue. Grouping everything together might be the only way to make it look less harsh. But threading directly onto something? Do not worry. I asked for a refund and was told I could just keep it. They look better when they're not on.
