When I took them out of the box they were showing the first signs of rust. Luckily I have a chrome cleaner lying around because I already have quite a bit of chrome on my truck. Cleans great and looks great! Comes with a key that you must tighten so don't lose the key! They are quite long which I wanted for my deep wheels but I don't think they would look good in shallow water or flush wheels. Buy them new too, used ones will be a nightmare. Hope that helps
